The critique pre-supposes knowledge of the ending to &quot;The Wasp Factory&quot; and, knowing the end, many suppositions can be drawn.  However, not knowing the end, reading the novel for the first time, the epiphanic conclusion to the novel when comprehension dawns...that is what, for me, makes the novel truly great.</description>
